1. Who we are

CentricOwl LLC ("CentricOwl", "we", "us") is a limited liability company registered in Virginia, USA (SCC ID 11869477), with its registered office at 733 Thimble Shoals Blvd, Newport News, VA 23606.

2. Our services

We provide content removal (including DMCA takedowns), brand-cloning enforcement, investigative due diligence and public-record asset search. The scope, deliverables and fees of each engagement are set out in a written engagement agreement or order confirmation. Where these terms and an engagement agreement conflict, the engagement agreement governs.

3. Your responsibilities

When you engage us, you confirm that:

• the information you give us is accurate and complete;
• for takedown and enforcement work, you are the rights holder or are authorised to act for them, and you will give us written authority to act;
• you are requesting the work for a lawful purpose.

4. Permitted use of reports

Our due-diligence and asset-search reports are for investment, partnership, counterparty and litigation decisions. They are not consumer reports and must not be used to make decisions about a person's eligibility for employment, tenancy, credit or insurance.

5. How we work

We work on public information, licensed data sources and lawful process. We do not obtain financial or account information by pretext, and we do not use stolen or breached data. Investigative and asset-search fieldwork is performed by licensed investigators in the relevant jurisdiction.

6. Outcomes

Takedowns, seizures and similar outcomes depend on third parties such as hosts, registrars, platforms, marketplaces and authorities. We act diligently, but we cannot guarantee that any third party will act, or act within a particular time.

7. Fees and payment

Fees are agreed in writing before work begins and are payable as set out in your engagement agreement.

Contingent ("no hit, no fee") asset searches

Where we offer an asset search on a contingent basis, the following applies:

• Fee. A flat fee of US $1,000 per subject is payable only if we deliver a Qualifying Result. If we do not, no fee is payable for that search.
• Qualifying Result. A Qualifying Result means the identification of at least one financial institution linked to the subject through lawful sources, as further defined in your engagement agreement. We do not obtain account balances or account details.
• When payable. The fee is due within 15 days of delivery of the report.
• No refunds after delivery. The fee is non-refundable once a Qualifying Result has been delivered, including where the asset is later moved, depleted or found to be exempt from collection.
• Accuracy of records. Results reflect public and licensed sources as of the dates shown in the report. Records can be incomplete or out of date, and we recommend confirming results through subpoena or other legal process before enforcement.
• Scope. The contingent fee covers one subject in the jurisdictions agreed at intake. Additional subjects, jurisdictions or investigative fieldwork are quoted separately.

8. Confidentiality

We keep engagement details confidential and disclose them only as needed to perform the work, as required by law, or with your consent. We publish a case study only with your prior written approval, and in redacted form.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, CentricOwl is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability arising from an engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Privacy

How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy and Data Handling statement.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, unless your engagement agreement says otherwise.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.
